As a result of Jorge's latest rant (December 5th) I decided to put up this page and quiet those terrible rumors he spreads about caffeine. The world of coffee is a wonderous and fulfilling place and damned be all those whom never come to realize this or [worse yet] knock it as though is were a bad thing. So without further adieu, I give you articles from the wonderful world of coffee.
Here's a nice study that followed a group of nearly 10,000 individuals for some 19 years. The results showed that those who drink more than two cups of coffee or tea [note that little alternative] develop chronic liver disease at half the rate than those who drink less than one cup a day.
I recall reading this one some time back and did some searching on the net to find it again so that I may post it here. The study involved more than 125,000 participants that spanned a range of years. The results indicate that men that drink more than six cups a day of coffee reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes by 50 percent and 30 percent in women.
